The Centennial celebration of Medicine Bow's incorporation was held during the weekend of June 26th through 28th, 2009. There were lots of events that had been planned to keep locals and visitors busy for the three days of fun. Friday, June 26th

Friday night's Youth Dance, and Saturday morning's Pancake breakfast were held in the newly remodeled Community Center.  The youth of Medicine Bow were given the privilege of breaking in the Community Center. Music was provided by Mike Hammock |  A group of "wall-flowers" hang out at the beginning of the dance. |  Ross Cooper used his "Cooper Charm and smile" to entice dancers to enjoy some refreshments. |  A bunch of teens and pre-teens enjoying the music. | While the teens were dancing at the Community Center, Mar Cronberg and his band entertained the adults in "The Back Forty" in the Historic Virginian Hotel
Saturday, June 27th  Members of the Medicine Bow Volunteer Fire Department make a pancake breakfast for the Centennial Celebration. |  The breakfast was enjoyed by many of the visitors for Medicine Bow's Centennial Celebration. |  The US and Wyoming colors were presented by a mounted guard. The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts carried their colors, and the Medicine Bow Centennial flag. |  Emergency vehicles from Medicine Bow, Hanna, and the Carbon County Fire Departments appeared in the parade. |  Union Pacific Railroad presented a mounted color guard. |  The Carbon County Sheriff's Department provided a vehicle for the parade, also. |  An old shepherd's wagon mounted on a trailer was provided by Heward ranches. | 
A "quick draw" competition was held Saturday and Sunday. |  There were games on Saturday morning for the kids - and a few teens as well. |  Vendors set up booths for everything from jewelery to blankets to accessories for children |  Products from a local woodshop |  Local residents present a melodrama for Centennial attendees. |  A confrontation between the "bad guy", the "good guy" and the "fair young maiden". |  Competitors took a break from Saturday's competition and allowed kids to learn the art of "quick draw" |  Mike Hammock again presented the music for the adult dance at the end of Saturday's activities | |
